Today is a reunion day with Racheal, who I went to university with. We had a lot to catch up on. Walking on a Sunday, meant there was not too much traffic and a lot less trucks. We set off and found a good pace and began catching up on the last few years.

The first 10km of today was pretty nice and the weather started hot then clouded over nicely. This meant it cooled down a bit rather than being a scorcher. Time went fast and we had a quick break on the side of the road.

We then headed up a hill for 4km and then down the other side for 6km. It was a big one and had a nice view at the top that we crossed the road to take a photo for. There was also an abandoned arm chair on the side of the road that I had to test out, of course.

We began waving at all the cars that moved over for us. There was a passing lane and so this was easy for everyone to do, to give us plenty of space rather than us having to jump in the curb. The majority of people were lovely and moved right over. We really appreciated this happening.

The countdown was on as we headed around a corner into Mangaweka. As usual I had aches and pains but the day had gone fast and we were finishing nice and early. As we finished by the plane, I was wondering if my jaw was going to be sore later too, from all the laughing. Racheal was a great support person for me today!
