Maybe you don’t want to walk with me or can’t but can you help me out with accommodation or know someone who wouldn’t mind having me to stay. Having a night in someone’s house is so much better than a tent or hostel and I enjoy meeting people and would rate the people I stayed with in the North Island a highlight of my walk!

I am looking for accommodation in the following places:
Lake Tekapo – 12th and 13th Dec
Twizel – 15th Dec
Lake Hawea – 20th Dec
Colac Bay – 13th Jan
Riverton – 14th and 15th Jan
Invercargill – 17th Jan
Bluff – 18th Jan

Let me know if you can help, thanks!

Training Walk

At the end of June I did a training walk up Mt Pirongia. I have been up there three times before so I should have remembered how challenging it was. The new hut at the top was worth it though and the views were amazing! I fully recommend it.
